Yesterday Close: Prices were mixed yesterday, as gas flows resumed through Nord Stream 1 at 30 to 40% levels. Overall, despite this, we saw prices trade higher, which may be surprising to some. This could be attributed to deeper concerns regarding the arrival of the gas turbines that have been repaired by Siemens in Canada.
Morning open: Prices are muted, with low liquidity of trades. The big news today, is the approved licence for Rough Storage to return in the UK. The UK’s biggest gas storage site has enough capacity to supply the UK for 9 days’ worth of gas. It may not sound like a lot but could be key in any cold winter spells. Its due to open this Autumn.
